Filet & Burratini

Ingredients

  • 2 filet mignon steaks
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 4 slices prosciutto
  • 2 packages of Bella Casara Burratini (125g)
  • Chili oil, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks all over with the salt and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Fold the prosciutto slices in half lengthwise and wrap them around the steaks. Secure them with toothpicks.
  3. Heat a cast-iron griddle or BBQ grill over medium-high heat until smoking. Place the steak on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side. Aim for an internal temperature of 130°F for medium-rare. The internal temperature will continue to rise after you take the steak off the grill, so aim for a temperature roughly 5° cooler than your ideal.
  4. Take the steaks off the grill and tent them with foil. Let the meat rest for 10 minutes. Remove the toothpicks and plate the steak. Top each steak with Bella Casara Burratini and finish with a drizzle of chili oil. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
