One Pot Shakshuka
with Burrata

Ingredients

  • 1 package of Bella Casara Burrata 250g
  • 1 onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • Parsley or oregano for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 can of crushed tomatoes
  • 4-5 eggs
  • Chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or large pot. Once heated, add onion and bell pepper cooking for 3-5 minutes until tender
  2. Mince the garlic, stir in cumin, smoked paprika for thirty seconds until aromatic
  3. Add the can of crushed tomatoes and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper
  4. Make divots into your sauce and gently crack eggs. Cover and cook until the whites are set (the yolk will remain runny) for about 5-6 minutes
  5. Grab Bella Casara Burrata and tea over the top of the Shakshuka, allowing for the creamy Stracciatella filling to embrace the warm sauce
  6. Season with parsley or oregano and serve alongside your favourite toasted bread
