Stracciatella Pesto
and Prosciutto Pizza

Velvety Stracciatella, delicate prosciutto and aromatic pesto come together in this summer recipe, that brings the heart of Italy to your table. This quick and easy pizza will soon become a family favourite, as it uses simple ingredients, but delivers an unforgettable flavour.

Serves 4 to 6

Ingredients

  • 325g homemade or store bought pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup pesto
  • 4 slices of prosciutto
  • 1 pkg Bella Casara Stracciatella (200g)
  • Olive oil and balsamic glaze for drizzling
  • Basil for garnishing
  • Chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425° F
  2. Place and stretch dough on a 12” pizza pan as per package directions
  3. Bake until the crust starts to form, about 5 minutes. Remove from oven and spread pesto in the middle of the pizza leaving a 3/4 ” border. Tear prosciutto in half and top evenly over pesto. Bake until pizza is golden brown and cooked through and prosciutto is crisp, about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven, immediately top with Stracciatella cheese by tearing it apart and spreading it over the pizza, making sure each slice gets an even amount.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze. Sprinkle with basil and season with salt and pepper. Add chili flakes if desired and serve immediately!
